Lea Michele has just announced the release date of her new album titled "Places." Some fans believe that the new album is dedicated to her late boyfriend, Cory Monteith. The "Scream Queens" star refers to the new tracks as more "personal" to her.
Speaking with U.S.A Today, Lea Michele revealed that "Anything Possible," one of the songs in "Places," is her "personal anthem" over the past two years. She added that the song speaks of "having faith" amid all the trials that life brings. Finally, she mentioned that the track is also about "moving forward."
The latest comments from Lea Michele has led fans to believe that "Places" may be her tribute to Cory Monteith. The "Glee" star passed away from an overdose in July 2013. Every year, Michele pays tribute to her deceased co-star and former flame through photos on social media.
The big announcement of the Lea Michele new album comes a month after the launch of "Love is Alive." The said single is her first after three years, when "Louder" smashed records in music lists. "Love is Alive" and "Anything's Possible" will be part of "Places."
According to Billboard, "Places" will be out on April 28. Fans can start pre-ordering the album as early as now. It remains to be seen what other songs the new album will feature. Following the death of Cory Monteith, Lea Michele moved on to date Matthew Paetz. The couple broke up early last year.
