Ben Affleck's Rehab Update: Completes Treatment for Alcohol Addiction
Actor-director Ben Affleck has successfully completed his rehabilitation treatment for alcohol addiction. The actor posted details about the treatment on his Facebook page. The actor stated that he has "dealt with alcohol addiction in the past and will continue to confront." He also disclosed that he would like to live the life to the fullest to become the best father for his children.
Earlier in 2001, Ben Affleck underwent treatment for alcohol abuse. He further stated in his post that he wants his kids to know "there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step." He also thanked his family, friends and his co-parent, Jennifer Garner, for their support throughout.
People spotted Ben Affleck, 44 taking his kids - Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 - to school on Wednesday. Accompanying him was Jen, who recently reportedly called off their divorce for the sake of their children.
A source told the daily that Ben, who has a great support system around him, is thrilled to be back home with his kids. Sources further added that kids mean the word for both Ben and Jen. With the "Argo" actor back home, he is likely to resume his daily routine that also includes picking and dropping the kids at school.
CNN highlighted how Ben Affleck had to step-down from the directing duties of Warner Bros' Batman. During that time, he said that the task demand focus and he might not be able to take up both the jobs. He was later replaced by Matt Reeves.
However, Ben Affleck also clarified that he would soon produce and star in the film for Warner Bros. With his rehabilitation completed successfully, fans are hoping that Ben can soon return to the big screen.
