Microsoft Surface Book 2 Change Design, To Launch In March Or April

Microsoft has again surprised its fans when the successor of the 2-in-1 laptop, Surface Book, is finally coming out and has reportedly started mass production. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is expected to launch by the end of March or in April.

According to recent reports, Microsoft Surface Book 2 has started mass production and its expected to start its shipment as early as April. However, Microsoft is ditching the traditional 2-in-1 design, instead, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will just be a regular laptop but is expected to adopt a clamshell design.

Another rumor came out that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 features a Magnesium Aluminum alloy chassis and a 13.5-inch display. The product, however, is expected to be labeled at around $1000 and it is lower than the previous Surface Book which features iCore 5 with 128 GB and is around $1299, reported Forbes.

Moreover, there is no information yet from Microsoft for the reasons behind the changes. However, according to reports only 500,000 Microsoft Surface Books were sold last year due to its high price. The laptop had limited demand due to its 2-in-1 design which contradicts with the Microsoft's Surface Pro line. Microsoft had also tried to update its Microsoft Surface Book last October by improving battery life and enhance the graphics support.

However, with the recent lower price tag for Microsoft Surface Book 2, Microsoft was hopeful to increase its sale compare to last year's poor number of sales. As reported by Gadgets 360, the shipment has increased to 1.5 million units which are obviously higher than last year's shipment of 1.2 million units.

Furthermore, Microsoft is more likely to announce the new Microsoft Surface Book 2 by the end of March or April, just in time when Apple is also expected to unveil its 2017 iPad Pro models. Lastly, this new Microsoft Surface Book 2 definitely excites many fans all over the globe.
