‘Bones’ Series Finale: Booth & Brennan Bid Emotional Farewell; Reboot Not Possible [Stream]
"Bones" is coming to an end after 2 years of a successful run on television and the showrunners have planned for the characters to bid an emotional farewell to their viewers. Emotions might also be running high because there is a less than likely chance of the popular detective series making a comeback in the future.
In one of the photos released of "Bones" series finale, show Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seely booth (David Boreanaz) sitting together on a park bench, in each other's arms, looking up the stars. This snap, along with pictures of other lovable cast members, is enough to make fans of show well-up really fast.
However, before the Brennan and Booth can unite for a final time, they have to solve their last case together, which might get life threatening for one of the series favorites. In other pictures from "Bones" series finale, Brennan and Booth are seen trying to flee from someone. Booth seems to have hurt himself, as Brennan appears to help him walk, Buddy TV reported.
The penultimate episode before "Bones" series finale saw the recurring characters, except for Dr. Camille Saroyan (Tamara Taylor) being trapped inside the lab as it blows to pieces. Hence, there is a good chance that one of the characters stranded inside will end up dead.
The plot of "Bones" series finale was planned recently by the showrunners as there was no news of the show getting canceled past Season 12. Unfortunately, during the Television Critics Association's press tour in January 2017, executive producer Hart Hanson mentioned that the cancellation wasn't part of their plan and they wanted another season to tell all the stories that they had planned.
When David Boreanaz was asked whether there is a chance that "Bones" series finale won't be the last time viewers get to see their favorite characters in action, he said, "In general, I don't like reunions and I don't like to go back." However, when the same question was directed at co-creator Michael Peterson in an interview with TVLine, he simply said "I [understand] if people are worried. But this is Bones. Have faith."
