On Mar. 26, Sunday, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd went to the former YouTube star's concert venue in Brazil together. And the two were proven to be popular among the populace, as fans mobbed the car they were in while on the way to the São Paulo show.
Recently, video clips surfaced on Instagram showing hordes of fans flocking around the vehicle transporting Selena Gomez and The Weeknd together in Brazil. ET wrote that these fans not only surrounded the car, they also followed them around via a tour bus. At the end of one video clip, the artists' security detail pushed fans away from the car and one girl fell over in the process.
One Instagram user, who goes by the handle @stunningselenamg, slammed the fans for their behavior. The same user also wrote that Brazil fans could have put themselves and Selena Gomez and The Weeknd recording artists in danger over their rash actions. Furthermore, the social media fan account also reminded people that the 27-year-old Canadian singer had anxiety, which could have been triggered by the situation. Additionally, the "Starboy" singer's girlfriend has anxiety and panic attacks as well.
Another video, Teen Vogue pointed out, also showed Selena Gomez and The Weeknd being surrounded at their arrival at the airport in Brazil. The situation in this video is similar to the other one that demonstrated the mobbing of their transport vehicle. Fortunately, the artists' security guards were at hand to shield them from the excitable crowd.
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd flew to São Paulo together for the Grammy-winning R&B artist's concert. Selena herself posted a clip of the Lollapalooza event in her Instagram Story account. Although Gomez is taking a break from social media after her lupus diagnosis, the starlet's account is still being kept updated by her staff.
