‘Rick and Morty’ Season 3 April 24 Release Date Unlikely To Happen
Fans are still anticipating any announcement on the release date of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. Recent reports claim the show returns on the air on April 24, although this is unlikely going to happen.
IMDB has listed the release date for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 on April 24. The site did not provide supporting details or further proof of the accuracy of this premiere date. Of course, if this is true then fans only have a few days to wait to see Rick and Morty back on TV again.
However, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. After all, this is not the first time that IMDB listed a release date for "Rick and Morty" Season 3. It previously announced a Jan. 9, 2017 premiere date, which did not happen.
Likewise, series creator Justin Roiland debunked this release date for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 on his Twitter. He told fans not to rely on IMDB since they would be the one releasing this information. Roiland assured that he would announce if the installment is ready for release and when it premieres on Adult Swim.
As it stands, there has been no official word yet on the release date of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. In the meantime, fans can rest assured that the creators are busy working on the show. Co-creator Dan Harmon previously revealed that the episodes still need reanimation. According to NME, the installment has 14 episodes unlike Season 2, which only had 10, so there is a lot of reanimating to do.
Likewise, voice recording for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 may still be ongoing. After all, recording for Episode 1 recently started middle of February, according to Den of Geek. Considering there are 14 episodes in all then there is still a long way to go.
The good news is, the story and script for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 are finished. Now fans will just have to wait for the announcement of the release date after recording and animation are also complete.
