Kate Middleton Baby Bump, Due Date [PHOTOS]: Pregnant Duchess Supports British Fashion, Prince William Loses Long-Time Private Secretary After July Birth
Kate Middleton is due to give birth in just about 9 weeks, but that does not mean that she has forgotten about supporting local fashion! After some reports claimed that the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge seemed to be unsupportive of British fashion, the 31-year-old mother-to-be proved them wrong by sporting a Moloh workers coat during her recent visit to Scotland. Also, once their baby arrives Prince William will say good-bye to his long-time private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton.
The 52-year-old principal private secretary of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has informed the royal couple that he plans on departing his position later this year. Lowther-Pinkerton has become a trusted member of the couple's inner circle over the years and even had a hand in planning the royal wedding as well as numerous trips abroad. He has worked with Prince William since the heir was a child.
In 2013, Lowether-Pinkerton was mad a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order. Here we see Lowther-Pinkerton with Prince Harry in March of 2012:
Some tabloids have been criticizing the Duchess of Cambridge of not supporting British fashion, which is odd because she most certainly does! As evidence in the following picture, Kate Middleton wore a Moloh jacket while visiting Scotland with her husband, the Prince, earlier this year.
According to Moloh founder Caroline Smiley, after Duchess Catherine wore the jacket the product has sold out and the profile of the brand has grown all over the world!
"It's been amazing," Smiley said. "The coat was something she asked to be sent from the store in London. We're very excited and very honored that she's a great supporter of British fashion. All our clothes are designed and made in Britain. She just made the coat look fantastic. We couldn't have asked for more."
Moloh has been in business for about 10 years and specializes in exclusive, tailored designs.
"Like everything we design and sell, there were only 20 or 30 of them made," Caroline said of the Middelton's coat. "We do very short runs of what we design. They all went in the first day. It was very powerful. We had a lot of enquiries from America, where they really do follow her like a hawk. We've had an increase in sales on the website and a huge amount of press interest which has been fantastic."
