Nick Cannon Being Pointed To As Reason of Mariah Carey Split With Backup Dancer Boyfriend

Mariah Carey has reportedly called it quits with Bryan Tanaka over his jealousy issues over her ex Nick Cannon. Their five month romance occurred shortly after her split from James Packer who she was previously engaged. An insider reveals that the 33-year old Tanaka served as a good distraction for the 47-year old diva from her split with James. But, now she is the good time for her to be single and focus on herself.

Sources say that Tanaka struggled with Mariah Carey’s still close relationship with ex-husband Nick Cannon, the father of her five-year old twins. The former couple wed in 2008 only to split in 2014. As co-parents to the twins, they have a bond that is said to irk Tanaka reports Mail Online.

The last straw for Mariah Carey was at the Kid’s Choice Awards in March where she and Nick Cannon  took the twins, Monroe and Moroccan. Reports say that Bryan felt the display disrespected him. During the event, he demanded that she came home. Carey and Tanaka have not been seen together since.

On Monday, Nick Cannon joked about being the reason for the split according to People. He said, “Most men are jealous of me.” Cannon added that Mariah Carey is an amazing mother and all they do is focus on their kids. Because of them, they will always be a family no matter who is in his life or hers.

Another reason being floated for the split is Mariah Carey reportedly got tired of spending for all of Bryan’s designer clothes and accessories. Plus, she is said to be feeling that he jumped in after her split from Packer and his endgame was really fame. Mariah and Brian caused quite a stir when they were spotted engaging in intense PDA over Thanksgiving weekend just four months after her split. In February, she officially confirmed that they were dating.
