Drake’s Album ‘More Life’ Makes Over 1 Billion Hits At US Streams
Drake has reached a new milestone as his album "More Life" has reached one billion US streams in less than one month. Halsey said that she is interested in making a collaboration with the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker.
"More Life", Drake's newest album is one of the best that year has ever seen yet. The count of album streams in the US is already jawbreaking for its first month. The accumulated song stream of the album in the US alone has reached more than one billion, Billboard has reported.
It seems like Drake's "More Life" will be able to retain its position as the sales are going strong. The figures from Nielsen Music has gathered that the album got 1.07 Billion streams through the week ending April 6 and has gathered another 167 million streams after. While Ed Sheeran's comeback album "Divide" is still big with 599 million streams for its tracks.
This record breaking scene isn't a new thing for the "More Life" rapper and singer. Drake's 2016 album "Views" holds the record for the highest number of on-demand audio streams and has reached 3.48 Billion streams since its release. "More Life" has beaten that success this year.
With a great year-starter, Drake definitely received a lot of collaboration offers. And one of those artists that are eyeing a work with him is the "New Americana" singer Halsey. The 22-year old singer has expressed her interest in working with the "More Life" rapper on an interview with Hollywood Life.
"I would love to work with Drake for an album," Halsey stated, "Everything he touches turns to gold," she adds, "And I am getting my feet in the water with music that is a little more dance-inspired. If I ever got to do a really cool dance-y collaboration, I definitely would want to do it with Drake!" the singer added.
