‘The Fate of the Furious’ Sequel: Vin Diesel, The Rock Settle Feud, Returns To Franchise
Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are set to return to "The Fast and the Furious 9." Sources claimed the actors have settled their dispute and agreed to appear in "The Fate of the Furious" sequel.
Production sources told TMZ that both Diesel and The Rock have called it quits on their feud. The actors have reportedly met several times to air out their grievances and came to a truce. Insiders claim Diesel and The Rock are now "good" and have agreed to appear in "The Fate of the Furious" sequel.
The sources also opened up about the dispute, which The Rock made public in the final days of filming "The Fate of the Furious." It was supposed because of "real estate" or how much each actor shines in the film. Both Diesel and The Rock were competing to be the face of the franchise. Eventually, the former WWE fighter acknowledged that this title goes to Diesel since he is No. 1 on the call sheet.
What the feud was not about though is money. The insider declined reports that "The Fate of the Furious" co-stars argued over how much each actor gets. After all, both Diesel and The Rock make huge money off the franchise.
It is clear that The Rock and Diesel have patched up their disagreement since both are reportedly 100 percent committed to returning in "The Fate of the Furious" sequel. Diesel even confirmed that he and The Rock are still close. "We still love each other, that's my boy," he told Entertainment Tonight.
The feud became public after The Rock took to his Instagram to post a cryptic message about his "The Fate of the Furious" co-star that he does not get agree with. He called his female co-stars amazing but the male co-stars are different. He particularly used a hashtag on "zero tolerance for candy asses." His succeeding posts alluded to Diesel and the latter confirmed the feud during a press interview.
