Niall Horan Calls Rumored Ex-Girlfriend Selena Gomez ‘Perfect Role Model’

Niall Horan only has good words to say about his rumored ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez in a recent interview. The former One Direction singer said that Gomez is an inspiration for young girls.

Niall Horan briefly talked about his ex-girlfriends in his interview with Billboard magazine about his solo music career. He complimented Selena Gomez and called her the "perfect role model for young girls." Horan credited his statement to the "Bad Liar" singer's honesty and braveness when she opened up about her battle with lupus. "It takes balls to go in front of the world and share your problems," he said.

The "Slow Hands" singer also talked about his other ex-girlfriend Ellie Goulding. Niall Horan revealed that he and the "Love Me Like You Do" singer still get along. They remain close even after they split. "We always have a great laugh," Horan said.

Niall Horan never officially confirmed that he and Selena Gomez dated back in 2015. Gomez also did not comment on rumors that she and Horan were a couple. However, Horan seemed to have made his feelings for the singer known during a guest appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden."

According to Unreality TV, Niall Horan was asked to choose between Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez. Corden asked which between the two women he would rather spend his last night on Earth with. Horan chose Goulding. However, Niall Horan admitted that he has a huge crush on Selena Gomez. He revealed that the "Hands To Myself" singer was his first celebrity crush.

Niall Horan also seemed to hint at his past relationship with Selena Gomez in a previous interview with Ryan Seacrest. He did not confirm nor deny the dating rumors, but encouraged the host to think that it is true, when he suggested Seacrest sort it out himself.
