'Chicago Fire' Season 6: Big Severide & Stella Reunion May Happen; End of the Road for Casey?

Last season, Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) went through the wringer with the death of his new girlfriend Anna (Charlotte Sullivan). It happened just when everybody thought that their relationship will go the distance. It remains to be seen how he moves from there in “Chicago Fire” Season 6. But first, Severide has to survive the fire in last season’s finale.

Fans were happy that Severide was able to handle Anna’s death better than everybody thought he would. He did not drank himself to death or again made poor life choices that he was prone to do in the past. Instead, he let his work distract him from his grief. Even if Severide was able to handle his mourning of Anna well, it does not mean that he will be ready for a new relationship in “Chicago Fire” Season 6. At least not early in the new season as confirmed by EP Derek Haas himself on Twitter.

Daas confirmed this time in The Hollywood Reporter that Severide and his ex Stella will be a lot closer in “Chicago Fire” Season 6. However, it will not be in the way that people might think. It appears that Severide will be given enough time grieving over Anna but the show is not closing the possibility of a Severide/Stella reunion.

It can be remembered that Severide and Stella had a messy breakup. Her crazy ex-husband tried to kill them both after he caught them together. Severide left Stella and went back to his old playboy self. She, however, still stood by him and even took care of Anna when Severide was unable to. For now, Stella is okay with them being friends or whatever he is willing to give her. It seems that if Severide would ask for another chance in “Chicago Fire” Season 6, she will readily agree according to Cartermatt.

It looks like Severide will make it through last season finale’s cliffhanger in one piece. The same cannot be said for Casey (Jesse Spencer) though. “Chicago Fire” Season 6 spoilers seem to indicate that he will die after being trapped in a burning building and there seems to be no way out. Casey was shown saying goodbye to Dawson (Monica Raymund) through the radio.
