Jay-Z & Beyonce Twins Remain in Hospital While World Awaits Official News from Power Couple

Hollywood power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce were reported to have welcomed their twins last week. Now, sources say that the twins, said to be a boy and girl, were born prematurely. The babies need to be kept “under the lights”, which could only mean that the twins have jaundice. It is common among newborns, more so for premature babies.

Jaundice is a medical term used when the skin and the whites of the eyes turn yellowish. The heightened levels of the yellow substance found in red blood cells can cause a baby’s skin and eyes to turn yellow. In order to eliminate the high levels of the yellow substance or bilirubin in the blood, babies should be put under phototherapy or bili lights according to TMZ.

The birth of Jay-Z and Beyonce’s twins was revealed on Sunday by her father Matthew Knowles. He congratulated them via Twitter. On the same day, Jay-Z was pictured smiling outside the hospital. The twins’ birthday appropriately falls under the sign of Gemini, which symbolizes twins in the Zodiac.

Rumors of Beyonce going into labor heightened when Jay-Z skipped the Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards. He was supposed to be inducted by former US president Barack Obama. In the video message that Obama sent Jay-Z for the occasion, the ex-president appeared to have the twins’ genders as being girls.

Last week, however, a woman was photographed carrying twin pink and blue balloons in the shape of feet with “Baby Girl” and “Baby Boy” written on them. With these was a huge bouquet of pink, blue and purple flowers. On the card were written “B&J” reports Mail Online.

It could be recalled that Beyonce famously announced her being pregnant with twins in February via Instagram. Her caption was, “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over.”

The world awaits for Jay-Z and Beyonce to make an announcement on their twins and possibly even a peek of them. So far, no concrete details as to the twins’ sexes and names have been officially released by the couple.
