The Scottish pop indie band, Franz Ferdinand, who gave us hits like "Take Me Out" and "Do You Want To" are almost ready to release their new album entitled Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions.

The four guys (Paul Thomson, Alex Kapranos, Nick McCarthy, and Bob Hardy) who "met in Glasgow, UK and started a band," have set the release date for their upcoming LP: August 27th in the US and August 26th in the UK via Domino, reports NME. They also revealed the tracklist and cover art for their new album, which includes a "handful of cuts during a recent intimate gig at the Glasgow venue Nice 'N' Sleazy."

The lead singer of Franz Ferdinand, Alex Kapranos, tweeted on May 16th "Here it comes..." and posted the link to the trailer video (see below) for Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions. It will be the band's first studio album since 2009's "Tonight," which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, states Billboard.

Although their upcoming album will be the fourth studio album to release from the band (since founded in 2002), their biggest single still remains their 2004 smash hit "Take Me Out," which peaked at No. 3 on Rock Songs and No. 66 on the Hot 100.

Franz Ferdinand recorded the new LP at frontman Alex Kapranos' home studio in Scotland, guitarist Nick McCarthy's Sausage Studio in London and during sessions in Stockholm and Oslo, reveals Rolling Stone.

According to a press release, the follow-up to 2009's Tonight will feature a handful of "interesting" collaborations, and reportedly will include a track with vocals from Roxanne Clifford, the singer from the indie-pop group 'Veronica Falls.'

Speaking to MOJO, Kapranos claims that the direction the album is taking is "forward" and said that the band are keeping quiet about things as their last album was "tainted by bullshit" prior to its release.

The lead singer did hint that lyrically, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions tackles "the idea of the cynic's search for optimism and the sceptic's search for a manual crop up here and there." He adds: "I've always liked the lead character in Alasdair Gray's Lanark growing the hard scales to defend the soft inner-self from the world. Socially awkward asthmatic with a self-consuming imagination. My 19-year-old self was electrified. Maybe the album is about how to shed those scales." reports NME.

The physical copies of the album will also include a bonus disc containing a live studio recording called "Right Notes, Right Words, Wrong Order." Domino will also release a limited edition deluxe "Passport Edition" with both CD and vinyl copies of the album and exclusive tracks and content.
