Jason Sudeikis Leaving SNL? Cast Member Jay Pharoah Tweets Goodbye, Quickly Deletes Remarks
It appears that Jason Sudeikis might exit "Saturday Night Live" along with Bill Hader and Fred Armisen.
SNL cast member Jay Pharoah posted the following goodbye to the three men on Twitter on Sunday before he quickly deleted the tweet:
"Hader, Armisen & Sudekis the talent of those three and just them as people in general will be missed but we will be strong and carry on.."
Favstar captured the tweet before Pharoah deleted it.
The New York Times confirmed Hader's exit in an interview last week. He had his own goodbye sketch in the form of "Stefon's Wedding" during the "Weekend Update" segment during the show's 38th season finale on Saturday.
Rumors have abounded that Armisen would also depart the show. Armisen, who has been on SNL since 2002, participated in a farewell sketch (a musical number with several guest stars) of his own on Saturday.
The New York Post also reported last week that Sudeikis is "reportedly ready to move on" from SNL. He told the Los Angeles Times last year that he considered leaving the show but ultimately returned for its 38th season.
Sudeikis is engaged to actress Olivia Wilde. His movie career has taken off in recent years, so an exit from SNL would not be a huge surprise.
