The latest celebrity death hoax victim is Abbie Cornish, an Australian actress known for her roles in Limitless, Somersault, Bright Star and Sucker Punch. The rumor claims that she is dead. The actress is alive and well however a tribute Facebook page titled "R.I.P Abbie Cornish" has garnered nearly 1 million likes.

The page read: ‘‘At about 11 a.m. ET on Monday (May 20, 2013), our beloved actress Abbie Cornish passed away … she will be missed but not forgotten.’’

The actress responded to the rumor on Twitter with, ‘‘Night twitter buddies. I promise I’ll wake up alive, single, and sans baby. Scouts honor.”

She wrote on her personal Facebook page, "Imagine waking up one morning, logging on to the world wide web and discovering that you are dead. At least that’s what happened to one lady hailing from the Hunter this week. The alleged death gathered credence after an ‘‘R.I.P. Abbie Cornish’’ Facebook page popped up later, attracting almost 1million ‘‘likes’’."

Other celebrities who have been victims of death hoaxes include Morgan Freeman, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Eddie Murphy and more. Some celebrities have been victimized more than once.
