50 Cent Pays For Queens Girl Funeral [PHOTOS]: D'aja Robinson Gunned Down On City Bus, Rap Mogul Honors Slain Teen With Horse And Carriage Procession
It's always an honor when rappers and influential figures use their celebrity and wealth for good. In a show of good faith, gangsta rapper and Queens native 50 Cent reportedly paid for the horse and carriage procession for D'aja "Asia" Robinson, the Queens teen gunned down last Saturday on the Q6 bus.
Robinson was laid to rest this Friday, May 24, after a week of turmoil and unanswered questioned as to why a gunman would fire more than 10 shots into a crowed city bus. The 14-year-old teen was riding the bus home May 19, from a Sweet 16 when shots struck and killed her.
Police sources said the unidentified shooter fired off up to 10 shots at the Q6 bus as it idled by a bus stop near Baisley Pond Park on Sutphin Boulevard and Rockaway Boulevard in South Jamaica just after 8:45 p.m., the New York Daily News reported.
The bus was hit a number of times, police sources sad and one bullet burst through a window, striking Daja Robinson, in the head. Word broke that the "We Up" rapper helped to pay for Robinson's funeral via social media. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, posted a message on his Facebook page:
"People always try and paint negative images about me I'm the most genuine down to earth person and I didn't forget where I came from I came through for baby girl by providing a horse and carriage for her. She was pretty, innocent and didn't deserve to die like that R.I.P D'Asia Robinson."
50 Cent a gun shot server him self, took Robinson's death t heart, and sprung for an elaborate white horse and carriage procession. He also shared images of the funeral on his Facebook account, according to the Daily News.

Robinson’s funeral was attended by more that 2,500 mourners. A gun man has yet to be identified in her death.
