Last night NBC aired the Oklahoma Tornado benefit special "Healing in the Heartland," which featured emotional performances from many celebrated artists. Country music singer Miranda Lambert was one of the many performers last night and she sang "The House That Built Me" as a tribute to all of the pets lost in the recent storm. Her emotions got the best of her so she had the audience join in while she tried to gain her composure. Her husband Blake Shelton was another performer last night with his "The Voice" costar Usher, as well as Reba McIntire, Darius Rucker, and Luke Bryan.

Shelton opened the ceremony with a performance of "God Gave Me You." Fellow country star Vince Gill also came on to perform "Threaten Me With Heaven" after saying, "It's sure good to be home. I'd like to do this song for 24 people that didn't make it."

In addition to the heartfelt performances, numerous celebrities showed up to express their support for the relief efforts. Some of these celebrities included country legend Garth Brooks, and NBC late night television hosts Jimmy Fallon and Jay Leno.

While performing her song "The House That Built Me," country music songstress Miranda Lambert became too emotional to get through it. A song meant to be a tribute to the lost pets in the wake of the tornado, this performance stood out as the highlight of the benefit last night.

With pictures of pets flashing behind her, Lambert could barely get the words to her song out due to her getting choked up with emotion. She mouthed the words, "Mama cut out pictures of houses...," as she just pointed the microphone at the audience in order for them to fill in for her momentarily while trying to regain her composure. As the song ended she apologized for the emotional break and said, "I love you, Oklahoma."
