Rumors surrounding "Glee" starlet Charice Pempengco's sexuality have been swirling online for months. In a recent interview with "The Buzz," the Filipino songstress finally opened up about her love life - she's a lesbian and is happy and proud to finally come out to her supportive fans. Check out the tearful video exclusive below.

During an interview with "The Buzz" host Boy Abunda on Sunday (June 2), the "Glee" sweetheart (who's also appeared on several episodes of "The Oprah Winfrey Show") opened up about her sexuality:

"Yes, I am [a lesbian]. I have deep gratitude for the Filipinos because they are the ones who know who I really am. ... I don't know what the problem is because for me, there is no problem with that. So now I ask for forgiveness from those who don't understand. And those who cannot accept. I apologize: I understand you... To those who could accept, and who could accept me, thank you very, very much. I just want to say to all of you that I feel very light - that I can leave the house knowing I am not hiding anything... I love myself, that's why I'm able to do this."

The 21-year-old songstress, who made her "Glee" debut as Philippines foreign exchange student Sunshine Corazon during season two, was first discovered on Youtube by Ellen DeGeneres in 2007.

Now, searches for Pempengco's "mystery" girlfriend continue to take the web by storm... this Twitter collage went viral back in April:

Turns out the girl in the photos is Charm Laguitao, whose boyfriend is Charice's friend.

Whether she's in an exclusive "secret" relationship or not, Pempengco is thankful for the love and support of her fans:
