Jessica Sanchez: 'American Idol' Runner-up Talks 'Tonight' Music Video In New Interview [VIDEO]
Jessica Sanchez, the American Idol runner-up who recently got shouted out by President Barack Obama, recently sat down with VH1 News to talk about the "Tonight" video and her new album Me, You & The Music.
"I woke up at like five o'clock that morning and went to bed that night at two o'clock in the morning. So, I was exhausted, but every time I was on camera I was like 'Boom! Diva!' and when the camera was off, I was falling asleep," she said.
Sanchez, who has had a very busy year that included appearances at the Radio Disney Awards and two episodes of Glee, says that her sudden rise to stardom is no accident. She studied the industry and learned how to make it work for her.
"I've been studying the industry since I was ten years old. I've always been work driven. I love this," Sanchez said.
Recently, her drive has been paying off. Me, You & The Music was met with favorable reviews (which is unusual for a an album from an American Idol alum) and she was invited to sing at both the Dancing With The Stars Finale and the National Memorial Day celebration.
