Star Wars: Episode VII doesn't hit theaters until 2015 and hasn't even started filming, but there are plenty of ways to stay excited about this new venture in the science fiction franchise as you wait. One way is to speculate on who will be joining the cast. So far rumors have been circulating about Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Florence Welch beginning negotiations to star in the film. Also Daniel Radcliffe, Leanord Nimoy, and the original cast of the film have expressed interest in signing on to the new movie. But what about the actors who turned down the roles back around the time of the original trilogy? Would they be up for a role in the new film?

We all know that actor Harrison Ford, portrayed Han Solo brilliantly, thus skyrocketing him into a successful career. But he was not the first choice for the iconic role. Of the actors asked to audition for the role, Jack Nicholson, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, and Al Pacino were among the bigger names. Pacino recently revealed why he did not take the role:

"[The Han Solo part] was mine for the taking but I didn't understand the script."

So do you think he would accept a new role now that he has some time to understand the story?

As part of the 30th Anniversary celebration of The Return of the Jedi, a tribute was released: The Return of Return of the Jedi. Here is an extended look at the tribute film, followed by an explanation from the creator, Kyle Newman (Fanboys director):

"Return of the Jedi will always remain an iconic and special film to me. It hit theaters when I was seven years old...and highly impressionable. Star Wars: A New Hope caught my imagination when I was a mere toddler, and Empire cemented my obsession, but Jedi wrapped it up with aplomb and turned me on to the art of movie making. Through Jedi I suddenly became aware that these films were stories people told. I became fascinated by the craft. And a whole new world opened up to me. So I will always be grateful to Jedi."

And lastly, the guys over at Nerdist have started a 6-episode webseries promoting the Star Wars: Course for the Force lightsaber relay charity race. Check out the first webisode here:
