CMT Awards 2013: Blake Shelton Wins Male Video of the Year, Country Star Tweets Excitement about Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood Victories (VIDEO)
"It Would Sure Be Cool If You Did" gave Shelton the win, which sure was cool.
Blake Shelton took home the gold for the category Male Video of the Year at the 2013 CMT Awards on June 5, 2013.
Shelton was unable to make it to the awards ceremony. Shelton's wife, Miranda Lambert, announced her husband's win and accepted his award saying, "Honey, I am drinkin' for two tonight!"
Even though Shelton was unable to be there, that didn't stop him from creating a 40 character or less acceptance speech on twitter.

In the song, Blake Shelton is hitting on a woman, letting her know that she doesn't have to come home with him, but it would sure be cool if she did. Blake Shelton and Usher sang a duet at a benefit concert for those who were affected by the devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma. Shelton and Usher have now released the song to the public, and proceeds from those sales will go to help recovery according to Blake Shelton's official website.
