Journey Tour 2013: Summer Dates Released, Steve Perry's Cancer Scare, No New Album?
Legendary rock band Journey is going to be on tour this summer. Journey fans will be able to hear "Don't Stop Believin" and all the band's greatest hits on their summer 2013 tour. Journey announced the news on their website and revealed their summer tour dates, which starts June 28 in Hollywood, Florida and runs until September 1 in Snowmass, Colorado.
Despite the new summer tour, it doesn't sound like the band will be making another album with new music anytime soon. The band has been rattling off new albums quite a bit over the last decade, but keyboard player Jonathan Cain told Pulse of Radio recently, "We're not convinced the market will bear another CD from us, y'know? And it's so much work to make one. Maybe we get a soundtrack shot with a movie."
In other Journey news, former lead singer Steve Perry revealed via his website that he had to undergo operations to treat skin cancer. Luckily, it sounds like Perry will be okay. "Three weeks ago a routine mole was taken off my face and the lab report came back Melanoma skin cancer. I've had two surgeries in two weeks to remove all the cancer cells and I've been told they think they got it all and no other treatments are required."
