Jay-Z, Roc Nation Sports: Kevin Durant Rumored To Sign With Jigga's Sports Venture

On to the next one. Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports just continues to grow. The latest news has NBA superstar Kevin Durant eyeing a move to the rap mogul's newly formed sports agency.

Durant fired his agent Rob Pelinka and the OKC Thunder player appears to be in talks to sign with Jay-Z, making him the latest addition to an ever-growing roster that includes Robinson Cano, Geno Smith, Victor Cruz, and Skylar Diggins.(RNS may soon grow to include Seth Jones and Desean Jackson, as well.)

Pelinka had this to say "We are honored and blessed to have worked on behalf of Kevin [Durant], for a brief period of time."

According to Yahoo! Sports, Durant is making the move because he idolizes Jay.

"[Durant] wants Jay-Z to handle his branding. ...He had a chance to be with his idol and couldn't say no," a source told writer Adrian Wojnarowski.

Durant doesn't have any contract negotiations coming up for quite a while according to Forbes, so Roc Nation will likely handle Durant's affairs solely in the realm of marketing and endorsement deals.
