Kelly Clarkson Loses Engagement Ring: 'Stronger' Songstress Apologizes to Fiance Brandon Blackstock at CMA Music Festival Performance
“American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson had a bit of a mishap during her recent CMA Music Festival performance over the weekend. During her performance, Clarkson apologized to her fiancé, Brandon Blackstock, saying she had misplaced her engagement ring and did not know where it was. So was the “Since U Been Gone” singer in hot water with her fiancé for not having her ring on during her performance and not even knowing where it was? Luckily she kept fans updated on the situation through her Twitter account.
As evident in her tweets over the weekend, Kelly was looking forward to her CMA Music Festival appearance:
But while she was onstage, she was missing one important part of her wardrobe: her engagement ring. The ring, pictured with the tweet above, is a canary yellow diamond engagement ring given to Clarkson by Blackstock back in December as part of a marriage proposal. Kelly accepted, of course, but was spotted without it on stage. Luckily, it was just a case of misplacing it and not “trouble in paradise.”
After her performance, Clarkson tweeted about her experience at the festival without an update about the ring:
But soon fans found out that the singer and her fiancé had found the missing engagement ring and that all was well:
