Hip-hop legends Cee Lo Green, Big Gipp, Khujo, and T-Mo are back in the studio together recording a new Goodie Mob album, set to be released on August 27, 2013. The "Soul Food" rappers were hoping for a surprise Eminem collaboration, but apparently that didn't work out. Green "swore" Slim Shady would be interested in busting rhymes on the new track "White Power," but thinks Em denied the collaboration due to his alleged "Born Again Christian" status. Are readers disappointed Shady won't be featured on the new Goodie Mob album "Age Against the Machine?" Even so, Twitter fans are anxious for some fresh Goodie Mob beats (this will be the band's newest album since 2003's "One Money Don't Stop No Show").

The boys of Goodie Mob recently revealed the new album cover for "Age Against the Machine." Check it out:

According to Kujo, "...'Age Against the Machine' is like humans against the machine. We've been fighting against the machine since the 'Soul Food' album."

So how about that failed Eminem collaboration on Mob's new track, "White Power?"

"I could've sworn Eminem would've done this song with me," Cee Lo Green explains. "I thought he would eat the controversy up, but it was kind of hard for me to address it as a white rapper, me being black. But my black perspective on white power was my relationship with him."

As Mstars previously reported:

Earlier this year, several Christian Post sources claimed that Eminem was separating himself "from the depths of the music industry" in order to focus on his new-found Christianity. ChristWire published a profile of Slim Shady back in 2011 recognizing him as a "Christian Warrior." August Weisz claims, "Through any problems he has had in live he has risen above the blackness that surrounded him... He is truly a Christian hero."

Despite the rumors, Eminem is set to release a new album of his own sometime this year...

Whether or not Shady will be featured on the new Goodie Mob album, fans can't wait for the record's August 27 release:

@soulbrotherdre: "Goodie Mob putting out a new album Look a #god work."

@youainshet: "Goodie Mob is coming out with a new album. Celebrate."

@DJYona: "Damn, Goodie Mob is dropping a new album [this summer]!? I'm with it."
