Avril Lavigne: 'Here's To Never Growing Up' Singer Dishes On Wedding to Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, Talks New Album 2013 [VIDEO]

While most brides stress out about their big day, pop star Avril Lavigne has decided to simply enjoy the process. The "Here's To Never Growing Up" singer is engaged to fellow Canadian, Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger.

In an interview with People Magazine, Lavigne said, "I've been very busy planning the wedding, but I'm enjoying every moment of it."

Though the couple may seem unlikely, Lavigne assured that the two have a lot in common when it comes to planning their big day. "Chad is on board with all my ideas. He knows that I have my own vision for the wedding, and he likes what I like. He's down with whatever I'm down with," she added. "We have a lot in common, so it's been easier."

Kroeger and Lavigne met while the songstress was writing and recording her upcoming fifth studio album. The Nickelback frontman helped pen some of Lavigne's yet-to-be-titled record, including lead single "Here's To Never Growing Up."

The two started dating during the process in July 2012 and were announced their engagement via Twitter just a month later, much to the surprise of Lavigne's 10 million followers.

The upcoming album, to be released in September, is set to be a musical departure for the "Complicated" singer, who has been in the musical spotlight since she was just 18 years old.

"It's very diverse lyrically. There's a lot being said. There's other subjects that I talk about. Before, it was mostly guys, break-ups, relationships, falling in love," Lavigne told Page Six.

Since Lavigne and Kroeger seem to be happy, fans can surely expect some upbeat love songs from the singer.
