Mac Miller New Video 'Watching Movies' [WATCH]: Single Released Ahead of New Album 2013 'Watching Movies with the Sound Off'
Shortly before the release of his second studio album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, Mac Miller has released a new music video, "Watching Movies."
This clip marks the release of a second single from the album. The first single "S.D.S." was release on Apr. 22.
Though the clip begins with some black and white imagery of an exorcism, most of the video finds Miller in familiar hip-hop territory. Women blessed with big booties drop it low and shake their rumps in a car and at the club, while the Pittsburgh rapper nonchalantly spits his rhymes.
Uniquely, the video does include some religious imagery, making the opening few seconds not wholly out of place. TVs arranged in the form of a cross depicting a broken signal are centered in the background of one of the sets. A priest reads to Miller and demons with laser-red eyes haunt in the background.

The vaguely religious imagery is fitting for the lyrical content of "Making Movies." In the track, Miller likens himself to a leader, with his fans (or as he refers to them, groupies) being his disciples.
The title of the track comes from people watching Miller as if he were a movie star. "Y'all are looking at my life, it's like you watching movies, / Looking at my life is like you watching movies," the rapper boasts during the song's hook.
The music video for "Watching Movies" hit the web four days before Watching Movies with the Sound Off hits record stores. Miller himself, along with guests like Earl Sweatshirt and Pharrell Williams produced the album. Guest rappers include Nicki Minaj, Tyler the Creator and Flying Lotus.
Unfortunately for Miller and his sales, Watching Movies with the Sound Off will be released on the same day as hip-hop superstar Kanye West's sixth album, Yeezus.
