Despite being in the music game for over 40 years, Black Sabbath had never had a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. That is, until this week.

According to Billboard.com, the classic rock act has sold the most albums in the country over the last week, with their 19th studio album 13. The record sold 155,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

13 is the first No. 1 album on the Billboard charts form the heavy metal group, and that result may have come from the long anticipation for the release. The record is the first studio release from the original lineup of the band since 1978's Never Say Die! and marks the return of lead singer Ozzy Osbourne and bassist Geezer Butler.

Despite being metal legends for 45 years, 13 is only the second top 10 charting for Black Sabbath. They last cracked the list with 1971's Master of Reality, according to Billboard.

Although it is their first top-selling album, the success of 13 comes as no real surprise. Sabbath were expected to hit No. 1 on the chart.

Listen to "Loner" off 13 below:

Daft Punk's Random Access Memories (48,000 copies), Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience (35,000 copies), Big Time Rush's 24/Seven (35,000 copies) and Florida Georgia Line's Here's To The Good Times (33,000 copies) fill out the top five best-selling albums.

Kanye West's eighth studio album Yeezus is expected to follow Black Sabbath into the No. 1 spot. The record, which has sparked controversy from its lyrics, has been projected to sell 500,000 copies. However, this was before the record leaked late last week.
