Kim Kardashian Baby: KimYe Charity Event in Honor of 'Baby Kai,' Kanye West Painting by Aaron Kizer, Featured in Nappy Roots 'These Walls Revisited” Music Video, Auctioned
MediaTakeOut.com EXCLUSIVELY reports that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have made their first official statement since welcoming baby KimYe on Saturday, June 15. Rumors have it that the couple named their little bundle of joy Kaidence Donda West (or simply Kai for short). AGAIN, these are just RUMORS. But according to MTO, KimYe will be hosting a charity event in lieu of accepting gifts for their baby girl. The Hollywood power couple will allegedly be auctioning off original artwork by speed-painter Aaron Kizer that features Yeezy. The painting appeared in the Nappy Roots music video for "These Walls Revisited" (with new additional production by Michael A. Smith and Jonathan Hay). The auction begins today (June 19) and all proceeds will go to the Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. Read on for more details and to read the statement in its entirety.
Here's the exclusive MTO statement:
To celebrate the recent arrival of their newborn daughter, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have publicly requested charitable donations in lieu of baby gifts. A charity auction for an original painting of Kanye West by well-known speed painter Aaron Kizer will begin today, with 100% of the proceeds from the winning bid going to Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, the couple's charity of choice. The painting made its live debut in the music video for "These Walls Revisited" produced by Kanye West (with new additional production by Michael A. Smith and Jonathan Hay). The song was revisited at the 10-year anniversary of its release by Nappy Roots, and has since garnered popularity on numerous major hip-hop sites around the world. The auction will begin today, June 19, 2013 and end on July 3, 2013 at 6pm EST.
To sweeten the deal, Michael A. Smith has generously offered to match the winning bid amount, doubling the impact of the donation. "I chose to become a matching donor for this auction because I think it is a great cause and I am really appreciative of the opportunity from Nappy Roots and Jonathan Hay to perform on a song originally produced by Kanye. Additionally, outside of being a musician and singer, I own a chain a medical practices and I am always wanting to call attention to the need for funding for great caregiving facilities such as Lurie Children's Hospital. This is my small way of saying thanks." - Michael A Smith (Co-Producer of These Walls Revisited).

Jonathan Hay allegedly writes, “This has to be the best four days of Kanye West’s life. He has a healthy newborn baby girl born the day before father’s day and his new album just dropped today. Musicians sometimes describe the release of their album as giving birth to their baby, but now that he’s experienced childbirth he would probably say there is no comparison. Even still, with the two major events he’s had this week, we offer our congratulations to both him and Kim. I’m glad we are able to step up and help with a donation to the Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.”
BUT, here's the catch MTO doesn't mention...
Disclaimer: Please note that although Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announced that they prefer charitable contributions to be made to Lurie Children's Hospital rather than baby gifts, they are not directly involved with this auction.
So just be careful, KimYe fans... it doesn't look like Kim K and Yeezy are actually involved at all...
