Kim Kardashian Baby: Kanye West Baby 'Name 'Definitely Does Not Start With a K'
There has been a lot of speculation regarding the new daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, but perhaps none more intriguing than the name of the child. There are still no reports on the official name of the girl, but a source told Us Weekly that it "definitely doesn't start with a K."
There were reports earlier in the week that the couple had settled on the full name "Kaidence Donda West." Donda was the name of West's late mother and Kaidence is probably just a creative play on the musical term cadence. Regardless, the rumors were apparently wrong.
A "K" name was the probable bet for a couple of reasons. One, both the parents have prominent names beginning with the letter. Secondly, the Kardashian clan reads like the world's most E! alliteration: Kris, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie. Obviously the new parents felt like bucking the trend and the world's expectations.
In the meantime, the source reports that the celebrity couple is getting along great in their new roles.
"Everybody is doing great," the insider said. "The baby is so sweet. Kanye is in love. Kim's real due date was July 12 -- Kanye's mom's birthday. That warmed his heart."
Khloe Kardashian was in town for the birth and proclaimed her adoration via Twitter, writing "I cannot even begin 2 describe the miracle that is now a part of our family. Mommy/baby are healthy & resting. We appreciate all the love."
West is probably equally as happy to have a distraction from the media storm surrounding his album "Yeezus," which was released Tuesday. The reviews are pouring on critical acclaim, but social critics have attacked it for its themes of misogyny and references to things like Parkinson's disease.
