North West UPDATE: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West STILL Not Getting Married

Kim Kardashian has a daughter by Kanye West but she still doesn't have an engagement ring, and a little more than a week after the birth of North West there has been no additional talk on the subject. 

E! online suggested that there were rumors that West had finally proposed, but People magazine wrote differently. A friend of Kardashian's said that it hadn't happened yet, but fans shouldn't be surprised when it happens. 

"I can't imagine them not getting married," the source said. "That's in their future."

The same source indicated that the lack of wedding plans doesn't reflect on Kanye's ability to be a father. 

"They're putting work aside right now to focus on the family. They're in it 100 percent," they said. "Kanye is already an incredibly present father. He's very relaxed and comfortable."

The new parents are reportedly hanging out with Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner at her home in Hidden Hills, CA, and taking a break from the spotlight to focus on North. 

"They're putting work aside right now to focus on the family. They're in it 100%," the source said. 

The marriage topic has been on the public speculation table for a while, but Kardashian brought it up during an interview on the Today show in January. 

"[Marriage is] something that we talk about, but I think it's just right now [we're] focusing on the baby," she said. "What I've learned in life is...I was always such a planner, and...you think your life is going to be a certain way, and the best surprises just happen when you don't plan."

West knows that marriage is important to women. After all, he did say Beyonce's "Single Ladies" was one of the best music videos of all time.
