Eminem New Album 2013 RUMORS: Release Date Not Until Fall? Producer Mr. Porter Tweets 'Have Not Heard Anything Like It' about Slim Shady New Music, 'Will Be on the Road Soon'
Back in October, rapper Eminem hinted that he'd be releasing a new album in 2013. Now it's almost July, and details surrounding Slim Shady's highly-anticipated eighth studio record STILL remain a mystery. The only guy currently providing fans with clues through Twitter is former D12 rapper and Em's current producer/hype-man, Mr. Porter. According to Denaun Porter (aka Mr. Porter aka Kon Artist) Shady won't release new music until the fall - probably a whole year after the initial "new album" rumors started. On Monday (June 24), Mr. Porter also tweeted this about Eminem's new rap beats - "Have not heard anything like it... we will be on the road soon." Yay!
Initially, rumors suggested that Shady would release his new album sometime around July 2 (next week!). But according to Mr. Porter, that earlier release date is highly doubtful. Back in June the Detroit rapper tweeted:
@MrPorter2012: "That i doubt but who knows RT @master360: @MrPorter2012 do u know if Em will release his new album before the european shows?"
For now, fans can check out a snippet of "Symphony in H," Eminem's new track off of Tony Touch's upcoming mixtape "The Piece Maker 3: Return of the 50 MCs" (out July 9):
But what can fans REALLY expect from Shady's own new album... details surrounding the record still remain unknown (no official album name, tracklist... nothing).
But word in the studio has it fans Will NOT be disappointed. In a recent interview with MTV News, DJ and Shady Records producer Alchemist reveals:
"That's my boss. I DJ for him and I'm not at liberty to speak on much, but you know his caliber and what he does... Clearly going to further territories. I think what you would expect, especially after the last go-round.... I think he was just getting his feet back on 'Relapse' and then 'Recovery' just came with the smash hits and everything and I think now - he's Eminem. It's just a blessing to even be in that type of circle."
And Mr. Porter answered some fan questions on Twitter earlier this week in regards to Shady's new sound. He tweeted:
"Have not heard anything like it."
And will Em's former D12 bandmate be featured on the album?
"I don't know, but we will be on the road soon." Mr. Porter claims he'll be at a few of Shady's upcoming shows in Europe this August:
