Firefly Music Festival 2014 Dates & Presale Tickets Available: [VIDEO] Recaps for 2013 'East Coast Premier Experience' in Delaware
While the 2013 'Firefly Music Festival' goers are still raving about their enlightening experience this past weekend at The Woodlands in Dover, Delaware, the time is already here to start planning for the return of the festival next year!
The dates for Firefly 2014 (revealed only days after the wrap of this weekend's festivities) have officially been set for June 20-June 22, 2014 and pre-sale tickets were made available on Wednesday morning (June 26th).
This year's 2nd annual Firefly Festival was undoubtedly a success with nearly 60,000 people flocking to the 87-acre Woodlands of Dover International Speeday to experience the 77-band lineup, notes The Inquirer. Although newcomers to the summer music festival scene, Firefly flew in a veteran-worthy bill of artists to headline 'The East Coast's Premier Music Experience' including Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Vampire Weekend, Foster the People, Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding, MGMT, and many more.
After this past weekend, Firefly organizer Red Frog Events and Dover International Speedway have reportedly reached a "ten-year agreement," reports Baltimore Sun, granting Red Frog Events "exclusive rights" to The Woodlands as a music venue.
"Firefly fans showed great enthusiasm this past weekend and we're pleased to announce our return to The Woodlands in 2014," said Firefly Music Festival Director Greg Bostrom. "We had 30,000 fans here last year and, thankfully, they all went and told their friends what a great experience it was."
Complete with food trucks, free water stations, a hammock hangout, an arcade, a brewery, a vineyard/winery, and some seriously impressive performances, this year's three-day music festival in the tiny state of Delaware made a huge statement. With attendees doubling in only a year, the 2014 Firefly Music Festival is bound to be even bigger and better than Firefly 2013. Plus you know what they say... third times a charm!
