Christian Bale has repeatedly explained that his portrayal of Batman ended with the last chapter of his movie trilogy with director Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises. But with the recent success of 2012's Marvel's The Avengers, the idea of a group superhero movie for the DC universe is being tossed around. Even more so, the current success of Man of Steel makes that idea even more enticing, so Bale has been asked about suiting up again for a Justice League film that could possibly in the works. So what did the Welsh actor have to say about that?

"We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three. That's enough. Let's not get greedy," he said.

"Chris (Nolan) always said he wanted to make it one film at a time. And we ended up sitting there looking at each other, saying 'We're about to make the third.' We never really knew if we were going to get to be there, but if that was how it was going to be, this was where it should end as well."

Though he has adamantly denied returning to the role that made him a household name, he did admit that he would be happy to see another actor in the black suit.

"It's a torch that should be handed from one actor to another," he said. "So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with."

In terms of a Justice League movie, Bale had some clues as to whether or not the film was in fact in development.

"I have no information, no knowledge about anything," he explained. "I've literally not had a conversation with a living soul. I understand that they may be making a Justice League movie, that's it."

Are you sad to hear that Bale still won't change his mind about putting on the Batman suit again? Who do you think will portray the Dark Knight in the rumored Justice League film?
