The electronic mogul, Moby, has finally completed his newest album entitled Innocents. The tentative release date (October 1st 2013), TRACKLIST, and tour plans to promote Moby's 11th studio album have recently been revealed via an announcement video from the DJ himself (watch below).

For the follow up to 2011's Destroyed, Moby has decided to expand his social circle and recruited some guest collaborators to work with him on the LP including The Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, indie-folk songwriter Damien Jurado, alt-rock singer Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees, Queens of the Stone Age), Cold Specks, Skylar Grey and Inyang Bassey, report Rolling Stone.

"I spend most of my time alone in my studio, so for Innocents it seemed like a really nice idea to involve other people in the making of the record," Moby said a press release announcing the album. "Working with all of these collaborators has helped me to make a record that I'm very proud of, and working this way also gave me some semblance of a social life."

The magazine also notes that for the first time in his career, Moby worked with a co-producer, Mark "Spike" Stent, who has also worked with artists like Muse, Bjork and Massive attack, to complete the 12-track album over an 18-month span.

MXDWN adds that "because he is typically a solo artist, the album focuses on the need for human connection and the vulnerability of the human spirit."

Moby intends to promote the new album with three live shows which will all be in Los Angeles. "Maybe at some point in my adult life I'll do more elaborate touring," he wrote on his website, "but for now, I just want to play three shows near my house."

He continued, "3 live shows (aka-the entire tour) will be a mix of new songs and old songs. including lots of songs from my past that, hopefully, you want to hear. it would be weird to only play new songs, even though i really like the new songs. and, to be honest, I get kind of annoyed when I go to other people's concerts and they only play songs from the new record. I love my new record, but i fully understand that you probably want to hear some older songs, too."

Although Moby released "The Lonely Night" with Mark Lanegan a couple of months ago, the first official 'single' from Innocents, according to the DJ, is "A Case for Shame." Listen to the track written with Cold Specks, a singer/musician from Canada, below and let us know what you think!

Additionally, Moby has revealed on his website that he shot all of the artwork for Innocents and each of its singles because he "really likes taking pictures" and has been a photographer since age 10. See the artwork cover art for Innocents above and the tracklist and announcement video below.
