Final Fantasy X HD, Final Fantasy X-2 HD Receiving New 30-Minute Ending Scenes [SPOILERS]

The upcoming Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will reportedly feature new ending sequences for each game.

Siliconera reports that this week's issue of Shonen Jump magazine in Japan reveals that the updated versions of the games will feature "a new 30-minute long drama that will play during the compilation's credits sequence."

The new ending sequence will feature new voice acting. Kazushige Nojima (who wrote Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 and worked on Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy XIII and the upcoming Final Fantasy XV) will reportedly write the new ending videos.

In the original Final Fantasy X, main character Tidus finally defeats the gargantuan monster known as Sin and saves the world of Spira. As a result, he fades out of existence and away from his love, Yuna. The game ends with Yuna delivering a speech to the people of Spira in which she preaches hope and tells them to never forget the people they have lost.

A post-credits scene showed Tidus swimming toward the surface of the water as the screen starts to fade to white.

That scene was explained to players who achieved the "good ending" in Final Fantasy X-2 (or just found the clip on YouTube), as they got to see a special scene in which Tidus returns to life and reunites with Yuna at the beach at Besaid.

It is unclear at this point how the new endings would alter the old ones, but fans can find out as Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster should be released later in 2013.
