Phish Cover The Apples In Stereo Song 'Energy,' Elephant Six Band Ride Wave Of Newfound Hippie Fans On Twitter
Well, this is interesting. Phish covered The Apples In Stereo's The New Magnetic Wonder track "Energy" at their show in Saratoga, New York on July 5. Apparently, the assorted crunchies gathered had never heard the 2007 song from the Elephant Six band because aPhishianados have been blowing up the band's Twitter account.

It's weird to me that Phish fans, with their love of crate-digging and hippie-dippie music, wouldn't have heard of one of the signature bands of the Elephant Six collective (whose whole schtick was bringing the "Summer Of Love" vibe to indie rock). Maybe that's just me.
