It was really only a matter of time before Daft Punk's hit single "Get Lucky" was somehow worked into a condom advertisement, but when Durex released a new condom design and campaign around the summer hit some people were taken aback. To say that this idea is "on the nose" is an understatement. We all know what "Get Lucky" is about so Durex's choice to embrace the song in the tongue-and-cheek promotion was a solid move.

On Monday, July 8, American Producer and DJ, Diplo, posted a photo to his Facebook account featuring the new Durex condom. The picture was also accompanied by the caption: "Thank God I had those Daft Punk condoms last night."

As part of the publicity campaign for the Daft Punk condoms, Durex decided to send free packs of the "Get Lucky" contraception devices to well known DJs.

What is strange is that a previous Daft Punk song, "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger," would have been a god choice for Durex back when it came out, but they decided to wait for this gem.

Back in 2010, Durex ran a similar campaign with "The X-Factor" boy band JLS, for their line of "Just Love Safe" condoms.

"It's really a chance for us to tackle some of the issues which we feel are pertinent within our society and use our influence and our status as role models to help change and help influence some of the behavior that's going on in our society at the moment," said JBL member Jonathan Gill at the time.
