A$AP Ferg, A$AP Rocky - Shabba [Music Video]: First Single Off 'Trap Lord' Gets Questionable Clip

I'm not the biggest A$AP Mob fan in the world, particularly in regards to A$AP Ferg. However, he and A$AP Rocky put together a catchy, slightly menacing jam in "Shabba," their ode to riches and a dancehall legend.

It's too damn bad they squandered it with this video.

It's been a while since I've seen someone aim for macho and whiff this hard.

All the benchmarks are there:

-Naked ladies who can't get enough of Ferg even while he ignores them to rap at the camera.

-Ornate houses

-Mahogany

-Agressive gestures

However, every piece is offset by questionable actions. Watch Ferg's hand movements in the mirror as he raps to himself. Count the number of times Ferg adjusts his blazer-turtleneck combo during a single trip down the stairs. Marvel at the strange scene where Ferg and Rocky sing at each other like a deleted scene out of Crossroads (while a skimpily clothed man dances in front of their car, no less).

There's nothing wrong with any of this. But coupled with the masculine posturing of lines like "short n**ga but my d*ck tall", it is kind of funny.

Trap Lord drops August 20.
