WATCH Demi Lovato New Single 2013 'Made in the USA' Music Video: Patriotic Love Song is 'Heart Attack' Star's Directorial Debut [VIDEO]
After teasing the release for what felt like forever, Demi Lovato has finally released her directorial debut music video for the patriotic love song "Made in the USA" at noon today (July 17).
Opening at a carnival in Anywhere, USA, the clip focuses not on the "Heart Attack" pop star but on a couple. A hunky young man and pretty little lady meet and connect at the fair, much like in the romantic classic The Notebook. He broods; she smiles with her friends.
The two talk, fall in love and prance in fields and in the rain enjoying each other's love and company. The dashing, muscled gentleman is then sent off to war and fights for his country in the desert, while his beau dutifully waits for him and stares wistfully out the window.
Lovato, meanwhile, rocks on her guitar at the carnival and flashes her million dollar smile at the camera.
Though it seems as though a tragic ending is in store for the two video lovers, all's well that ends well, and the couple are reunited after their long distance struggle, giving the clip a mushy, happy feel.

Lovatics have thus far reacted positively to the video, and the former Disney star has taken to her Twitter to thank them for their support.
She then dedicated the clip, which she co-directed to America's finest. "I dedicate my video to all of the troops, anyone who has passed away over seas and to this INCREDIBLE country that I'm so thankful for."
"Made in the USA" is the second single off Lovato's latest studio album DEMI.
