Drunk Florence Welch Covers Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' [VIDEOS]: Songstress Throws Back Shots at U.K. Party, Joins Bar Band Sourberry, No 'Machine'
Florence Welch, of the power pop group Florence and the Machine, has an incredibly unique and commanding singing voice. She has literally made a career out of it. So when the 28-year-old "Over the Love" singer threw back a few shots and started singing with the bar band Sourberry at its annual summer party, the crowd was witness to quite the show. Florence sang Daft Punk's huge hit "Get Lucky" as well as Gossip's "Standing in the Way of Control."
According to Sourberry, Florence (sans the Machine) "hopped up on stage during our sound check and rocked out a couple of numbers with us while we warmed up."
What resulted was an incredibly entertaining sound check that has now gone viral. In the video footage from the weekend's impromptu cover session featuring Wlech, you can see the singer throwing back a number of shots on stage. Clearly enjoying herself, we can only hope for more bar nights like this in the future.
Some YouTube comments included:
"love drunk flo!"
"She's so amazing"
"She can_ do crazy and funny things when she is as drunk as hell :D"
"Admit it, you just feel yourself as cool, as_ she actually is, when drunk"

This is not the first time Florence has covered a tune, however. Though this instance might have been less organized, back in June the singer joined Dev Hynes (of Blood Orange) to cover Icona Pop's smash hit "I Love It." This collaboration was for a benefit for the Human Rights Campaign.
