Henry Winkler, 'Parks and Recreation' Season 6 2013 [VIDEO]: Fonzie Cast as Jean-Ralphio's Dad on NBC Comedy, Ben Schwartz Posts Excitement on Twitter
The sixth season of NBC's hit comedy "Parks and Recreation" has just added a special guest star to its September 26 premiere and possibly some future episodes as well. Henry Winkler, best known for his "Happy Days" character Fonzie, has singed on to play the father of Ben Schwartz's character, Jean-Ralphio. Fans of the show will also note that Jean-Ralphio's twin sister Mona-Lisa, played by Jenny Slate, joined the cast last season, so it will definitely be interesting to see the man who came up with the names of these crazy people.
Ben Schwartz took to his Twitter account to express his excitement over the casting and to welcome Winkler to the family:
Jean-Ralphio's father will be played by THE FONZ! (@hwinkler4real) Welcome to the family pop!- https://t.co/ichVULclJ9

The Hollywood Reporter broke this casting news. Here is an excerpt from the exclusive article:
"Winker (Happy Days, Childrens Hospital, Arrested Development) will appear in the season six premiere and potentially return in future episodes of the series -- the same way Schwartz's alter-ego has during Parks' run."
Henry Winkler is no stranger to the more modern, stranger comedies. He was brilliant as Barry Zuckercorn, the oblivious attorney for the Bluths in "Arrested Development," and his current role in Comedy Central's "Childrens Hospital" is very bizarre as well. In other words, he will surely fit in with the rest of the cast of "Parks and Recreation."
Plus, Jean-Ralphio is one of the show's more over-the-top characters, so fans will probably get to see more of Schwartz's role in the premiere at least.
