'Star Wars 7' News, John Williams Returns [VIDEO]: J.J. Abrams' 'Episode VII' Gets Score by Original Trilogy Composer in 2015 Movie

Sure you might be more interested in Ryan Gosling or Zac Efron news surrounding Star Wars: Episode VII, but one of the most important names for the franchise has just signed on for the 2015 movie. John Williams, the iconic composer from the original trilogies, has signed on for J.J. Abrams' next chapter in the amazing story.

During the "Star Wars Celebration" in Germany today, Lucasfilm announced the news to the adorning fans who were definitely glad to hear Williams was coming back.

"I look forward to returning to a galaxy far, far away. I actually feel like I never left it," Williams said in a prerecorded video message. "I'm happy to be a continuing part of the Star Wars saga and the joy in the journey of discovery that awaits us all."

Williams has won five Academy Awards in his career and is best known for scoring such films as Jaws, the Indiana Jones series, Superman, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and many others. He has also created such iconic themes for the Star Wars franchise, including The Imperial March for Darth Vader, Yoda's Theme and the iconic main fanfare that first appeared in the original 1977 Star Wars film.

Other news surrounding this new film has been very up in the air, but some reports are claiming some big casting news has gone down.

According to numerous sources, Ryan Gosling has auditioned and was maybe offered the role of Luke Skywalker's son. Also, Zac Efron could be playing a Solo in the next movie.
