Kidd Kraddick Dead: 'Kidd Kraddick in the Morning' Radio Host Dies at 53 at Charity Event, Cause of Death Brain Aneurysm?
Radio host Kidd Kraddick is dead at the age of 53 according to a publicist (via Billboard). The host of the popular radio morning show "Kidd Kraddick in the Morning" heard around the U.S. died at a charity golf event near New Orleans. As of right now (Sunday, July 28) an announcement on the cause of death hasn't been made, but according to Billboard, a golf professional at the Timberlane Country Club described the radio DJ as looking ill on Saturday. Kraddick died Saturday at his Kidd's Kids charity event in Gretna, according to YEA Networks, the company that syndicates Kraddick's radio show.
Kidd Kraddick was one of the country's most popular radio personalities with his "Kidd Kraddick in the Morning" radio show being syndicated by YEA Networks to over 75 radio stations, according to Billboard. Kraddick's radio show is also heard globally via the American Forces Radio Network and seen on TV via the TV show "Dish Nation."
"All of us with YEA Networks and the "Kidd Kraddick in the Morning" crew are heartbroken over the loss of our dear friend and leader," YEA Networks said (via Billboard). "Kidd devoted his life to making people smile every morning, and for 21 years his foundation has been dedicated to bringing joy to thousands of chronically and terminally ill children."
According to a report by Just Jared, Kraddick may have died from a brain aneurysm. Just Jared says that "many reports are citing the aneurysm at this time," so take that for what it's worth. As of early Sunday afternoon there has been no official announcement as to the cause of Kraddick's death.
Kidd Kraddick's last tweet on Saturday morning was a retweet from @ItsMaryCim who tweeted, "@KiddKraddick OMG CIMORELLI, JONAS BROTHERS ND JASON DERULO IM DEAD THIS IS AMAZING OK."
