Johnny Manziel Criticism: Johnny Football Wears Tim Tebow Jersey, Thrown Out of Frat Party [VIDEO] Responds to Oversleeping At Manning Passing Academy
Johnny Manziel aka Johnny Football has come out publicly to address all the criticism he has been facing involving his partying ways. The Texas A&M quarterback, won the Heisman Trophy in 2012, making him the first ever freshman player to win the prestigious award. Manziel; however, has been highly criticized recently over various incidents of photos and videos being released showing the quarterback partying. Manziel also showed up late to the Manning Passing Academy camp and was told to go home. Manziel was on ESPN's "College Football Live" and responded to the criticism.
The controversy surrounding Manziel's early exit from the Manning Passing Academy invovles rumors about the night before. There were reports that Manziel was out late the night before partying and that is why he overslept and showed up late to the camp. However, in the video below, you can see Manziel is blaming it on his phone and simply just oversleeping.
Before being chosen as the starting quarterback of Texas A&M in June of 2012, Manziel was arrested after being involved in a late-night fight in College Station, Texas. You can read about the controversy surrounding Manziel's arrest on Deadspin's website.
The latest controversy surrounding the Heisman winner is a video that was posted on YouTube, showing Manziel allegedly attending a fraternity part near the University of Texas campus Friday night. The video shows a guy, who supposedly is Manziel, nearly getting hit by a beer can thrown by a fellow partygoer. In the video you can also hear someone yelling "Get the f--k out."
Manziel then attended another party on Saturday, wearing a Tim Tebow, New York Jets jersey. As you can imagine, this is getting quite a bit of media coverage as well. Click here to see Manziel in a Tim Tebow jersey.
