Tamar Braxton Baby: 'The Real' Host Says She Didn't Immediately Love Her Son Logan

Tamar Braxton, the star of "Braxton Family Values" and a host on talk show "The Real," made headlines when she gave birth to first son Logan earlier this year. Now, when speaking to "Good Morning America," she surprisingly admitted that she didn't instantly fall in love with the newborn. Take that with some context however.

"I guess in a sense I did feel unattached because you know," she said. "I really, really wanted to connect with him because I wanted to breast-feed. And when he didn't latch on and when I couldn't produce milk I just felt like, 'Is this the wrong child?' You know what I mean? 'Am I the wrong mother?'"

It took her a while to come to terms with the baby, and she told "America" that for the first week-and-a-half, husband Vince Herbert was doing all of the changing of diapers.

"Is this something that I need to hand over to my husband because he and the baby connected instantly," she said. "And I wanted that. And I guess I was a little jealous, pretty much."

Stacy Kaiser, a psychologist on the show, explained that Braxton's feelings were something that many new mothers experienced. She and Logan have come to terms, if you will, and now she's enjoying motherhood as much as she had previously planned.

"When he finally latched on I felt like he got me and I got him and this was all meant to be," she explained. "I am very happy. I feel complete ... he is the best thing that ever happened to me."

That's great news for her, but hopefully she can juggle her busy schedule accordingly. Aside from filming for "The Real," Braxton has to prepare for her upcoming album, "Love and War," as well as a slot opening for John Legend on his upcoming American tour.
