Busdriver 'Versachi', LA Avant-Garde Rapper Joins Migos-Mania With His Own 'Versace' Remix [LISTEN]
Before I'd heard Migos "Versace" and the million remixes thereof, if you had read my selections of lyrics like "pool in the backyard look like Metropolis" or "Cheetah print on my sleeve, but I ain't ever been in the jungle" or even "Versace" repeated to the point of semantic satitation- I might have thought it was a song by Los Angeles avant-garde spitter Busdriver. The wicked fast oddball rapper has weighed in with a remix of the ratchet anthem that is everything the Migos original could have been. (Also, he wrote it 'Versachi' because art.)
"Versace, Versace, I'm down in the lobby like Salvador Dali / I'm twisting my 'stache and I'm getting the cash and I'm sipping on coffee," the rapper begins before launching into a wild two minutes full of drugs, women, hardcore bands and keepin' it real ("To be honest, I can't afford no Versace").
But what do we expect from the man who wrote "Mindcrossings"?
Sound off in the comments.
