Cory Monteith's final Glee episode will reportedly air during episode 3 of season 5. Deadline.com is reporting that the Cory Monteith tribute episode has been confirmed to air October 10, which will be the third episode of season 5. FOX entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly confirmed the rumors that Monteith's Finn character will face his drug addiction on the show. However, that doesn't necessarily mean Finn will die on the show. Monteith died on July 13 in a Vancouver hotel room from a drug overdose, just weeks after he got out of rehab for his drug addiction. The Glee cast still seems to be reeling from this tragic news, especially Monteith's real life girlfriend Leah Michele, who also plays Finn's one time girlfriend Rachel on Glee.

Although Reilly confirms the Monteith tribute episode, his explanation leaves questions as to what exactly will take place. "That is the episode where Cory's character will be written out and will deal directly with drug addiction and with the circumstances surrounding Cory's death," Reilly said. FOX's entertainment chairman cautioned that it doesn't mean Finn dies in the episode, but that they will cover the incident and drug addiction.

The third episode will follow a two-part Beatles themed season 5 episodes, which were already being planned. Following the third episode, Reilly says that the show will go on a short break to accommodate the baseball season.

Reilly also revealed that a season 7 of Glee doesn't seem likely. "If we discover a new crop of kids and there's some breakout, who knows, but right now, we're thinking about two seasons," Reilly said. Glee was recently picked up for seasons 5 and 6.
