Britney Spears fans anxiously awaiting a new studio effort from the "Scream & Shout" singer may have to wait a little longer. However, the singer did tease a little information about her new album over the weekend on her official Instagram account.

In a "recipe," Spears posted what, exactly, will go into her eighth studio effort. It seems as though the album will be a mix of the very best from Spears first seven efforts. There will be the sweetness of "...Baby One More Time," the confidence of "Britney," the heat of "In The Zone" and the power of "Femme Fatale," among other ingredients.

Though the album sounds like a nearly perfect blend of all Britney eras, it seems as though fans may have to wait some time before the new release is heard. Originally rumored for a 2013 release, the "recipe" indicates that the cooking time is an entire year and a half. Seeing as how Spears is in the studio now, tweeting about the process and working with will.i.am and Sia, the album may not come to fruition until next year.

However, Spears fans do have one release to whet their appetites: a best-of collection. Set to hit shelves exclusively at Walmart, "The Essential Britney Spears" will be released Aug. 20. The two-disc collection includes Spears' singles from throughout her career, including "Toxic," "(You Drive Me Crazy)," "I'm A Slave 4 U" and "Hold It Against Me." However, new song "Ooh La La" from "The Smurfs 2" soundtrack is not included.

"The Essential Britney Spears" will technically be the 13th compilation album from the pop megastar. The last release, from Sony Music Camden last year, "Oops I Did It Again: The Best of Britney Spears" was an odd mix of her early material, B-sides and album cutes. "The Essential Britney Spears" actually seems to live up to its title.
